LaSalle’s Local School Council (LSC) is comprised of the principal plus eleven parent, teacher, community members who are elected every two years.  LSC responsibilities include:

·         Hiring and evaluating the school principal
·         Approving usage of school facilities
·         Approving fundraising conducted on behalf of the school  
·         Approving the school budget and school financial activity
·         Approving the school’s strategic plan (CIWP)


In addition, the LSC has advisory responsibilities to the principal on topics including:

·         Discipline policies
·         Curriculum
·         Hiring
·         The allocation of teachers and other resources at the school

LSC meetings are held monthly (often in the evening of the 3rd Wednesday of each month) and are open to the public.  Guests are welcome and every meeting includes a Public Comment portion that allows anyone who wants the opportunity to provide their perspective to the LSC.
