• Mayor Daley at LaSalle!

  
  On March 14th, Mayor Daley came to LaSalle and spent one hour with the 6th graders. The students presented their work based on the novel The Giver by Lois Lowry.
  
  The 6th graders had created a Utopian Society and their own government.
  To reinforce the student’s knowledge of city government, our teachers felt Mayor Daley would be the most qualified speaker!
  Mayor Daley answered questions about government. He also emphasized the importance of education and learning foreign languages.
  
  Thank you to Ms. Byrd and Ms. Boumenot for making this visit happen and congratulations to our 6th grade students for being a wonderful audience.
