2011/2012 Substitutes Needed
The substitutes are needed all year round for all grades in general education classrooms or specialized (with endorsement) in science, language arts, social studies, math, Spanish, French, Italian, Mandarin.
LaSalle Language Academy is looking for superior teachers already on the CPS list of substitutes. Please read the complete description. Only qualified candidates will be considered. We interview substitutes as we need to rely on strong teachers in all our classrooms. We feel substitutes are as important as our regular teachers to insure the success of our students. Being a substitute at LaSalle Language Academy is a great opportunity for young teachers to gain experience in a high pace environment. It also gives the substitute a greater chance to be considered for future vacancies at LaSalle.
We are expecting the following:
- Effective classroom management and knowledge of PBIS
- Experience delivering effectively differentiated instruction
- Experience using data to drive instruction
- Superior communication skills
- Superior written, verbal, spelling and listening skills
- Superior organizational and planning skills
- Proficient with technology
- Able to work collaboratively with administration, students, parents, teachers
- Team player with positive and constructive attitude
