In the international best selling book "The World Is Flat", Thomas L. Friedman shows how companies and individuals now compete across increasingly irrelevant frontiers. Mastering world languages not only opens the doors to more careers but also develops open-minded individuals. Students enrolled at LaSalle participate in world language study each day from Kindergarten through 8th grade. They learn the same world language for nine years to achieve a solid proficiency. Bienvenue à Chicago
A group of eleven students and two teacher chaperones from LIffré, France, touched down in Chicago two days before Halloween, just in time to discover this most American of celebrations with their host families. On October 30 the group gathered to carve pumpkins, and the next day they braved the rainy weather to go trick or treating for the first time. They marveled at the costumes, the amazing Halloween decorations and the quantities of candy they collected!

Please join us on Saturday, March 15th at 7:00 PM for our Annual LaSalle Benefit at Salvatore's Restaurant (entrance at 525 W. Arlington Place).
